"This book addresses various issues concerning agriculture and rural development in India, with special focus on the dignity of labour. Based on a study conducted by Dr. M. L. Dewan in Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Maharashtra, it provides a fascinating experience of `Dignity of Labour' camps organized in Maharashtra where agricultural universities, colleges and schools were involved in agricultural development programmes. It also deals with the project approach to agriculture and general development in the country.
